Write and director of the ‘Suicide Squad‘ film, David Ayer, celebrates 75 years of the beloved DC Comic villain, The Joker, by sharing a character still of Jared Leto as The Joker.
First, for those who don’t know what ‘Suicide Squad‘ is, here’s the synopsis from IMBD:
A secret government agency run by Amanda Waller, named A.R.G.U.S creates a task force comprised of super villains. They call it: the Suicide Squad because sometimes… they don’t come back. They are assigned to execute dangerous tasks in exchange for shorter prison sentences.
As a fan of villains, this excites me! Anyone else a bigger fan of the super villains rather than the heroes? I mean come on… Batman is just a rich dude with a suit, but Harley Quinn?! Now she’s one fun lady 😉 But anyway, back to The Joker.
It’s hard to imagine a better Joker than Heath Ledger, and there’s no saying Leto will do a better job, but this portrait gives me chills! It’s so perfect, from the tattoos, to the makeup, and of course his expressions.
